He asked her to be his girlfriend 5 years ago in a McDonald’s parking lot because he just couldn’t wait any longer. Let’s just say some of the best, most epic and meaningful journeys start with humble beginnings! Nathan and Macy are the kind of people you feel like you’ve known forever when you first meet them. So kind and fun-loving, they are exactly the kind of couple I adore working with! Loose Park is typically teeming with photographers, but we had the whole place to ourselves, possibly due to the crazy blizzard a few days before that covered everything in snow! I can’t believe how different it looked covered in white!

After Loose, we went down to the Country Club Plaza for the second half of our session and, while a few of the spots might be old hat to some people, they were new to both this sweet couple and myself (aka, the famous blue patterned staircase and the iconic Christmas lights) so we were delighted by the options!

I seriously can’t wait to shoot their wedding next September at the Terrace on Grand near downtown Kansas City, I just have a good feeling it will be one for the books!
