All week it said it would rain all day on Sunday and then BOOM, not a drop all day! I was so thankful since this wedding was completely outdoors at the Rus-T Barn venue in Bonner Springs, Kansas (with a big, beautiful tent for the reception). Zach and Bailey met in college. He had gone for football and she played volleyball. They met early on in the fall, began dating by Thanksgiving, and the rest is history!

On a the last night of a trip to Colorado, they went to Flagstaff mountain, overlooking Boulder. It was dark out and Bailey says Zach made her crawl over rocks in flip flops until he found the right place to get down on one knee and pop the big question. One of Zach’s favorite things about her is that she always has a plan and enough drive to push them both to reaching their goals. One of Bailey’s favorite things about him is that he’s much better at focusing on what’s going on in the moment and really pushes her to let go of the things she can’t control (like the future). Sounds like the perfect balance to me!

Zach and Bailey’s favorite date night is to go to a local Mexican restaurant in Springfield, sit in the same spot with the same waiter, and spend way too much money because Zach has to order every appetizer 😉 Bailey’s engagement ring was her great grandmother’s and then her mom’s from her dad, Matt.

I’m so excited for Zach and Bailey as they start this new adventure of marriage together! I feel like their big day reflected their personalities so well and everyone had such a great time together 🙂
