While I adore this location for family photos in Colorado Springs, it can be a bit of a challenge on a very sunny day because it’s so open. For the Blazis family’s session we totally lucked out with a very cloudy, but still bright, evening that softened all the colors and allowed us to shoot at different angles than I normally could with a ton of sun to worry about.

Not only that, but it happens to be only FIVE minutes from my house! I still can’t believe that!
