Macy & Nathan’s downtown Kansas City wedding was nothing short of perfect. These two are literally some of THE nicest people I’ve ever met and I can’t believe I was lucky enough to get to capture their big day!! They met their freshman year at KU and were dating within a few short months.
The engagement story according to Macy:
“During our time at KU, we had a “special spot” on campus that we would frequently meet up at by the Campanile. It was a favorite place for us to sit and talk. Fast forward nearly 5 years later — Nathan coordinated plans behind the scenes with Macy’s sisters to get Macy to Lawrence for what she thought was just a day of shopping. The sisters pretended to take a “wrong turn” that led them to the Campanile where Nathan was waiting. Macy was completely surprised as Nathan led her down to their spot before getting down on one knee. After the proposal, Nathan suggested a celebratory drink, where the rest of their families were there to surprise her. He pulled off all of the surprises!”
Macy describes Nathan as outgoing, funny, charming, super handsome, thoughtful and supportive. Nathan describes Macy as Super driven, smart, gorgeous, a goofball, motivating, his favorite 🙂 Read through the end to see some of their favorite things about each other and their favorite trip!

One of Macy’s favorite things about Nathan: I love how much he makes me laugh and makes me feel very loved.
One of Nathan’s favorite things about Macy: Macy is constantly thinking of other people before herself. She’s always going the extra mile for her friends and family, even if it puts her in a bind.
Their favorite trip was an easy answer for them both: We took a trip to Arizona and had a blast. We love warm weather and time by the pool, but LOVED the hikes and beautiful scenery. We had a rental car and went from Phoenix to Sedona, up to Flagstaff and on to the Grand Canyon.
I’m so thankful to have played such an awesome part in Macy & Nathan’s story and had way too much fun 🙂
