We couldn’t have had a more perfect day in Kansas City for this mini session! It was 65 degrees during the week of Valentine’s Day and Miranda, Chris and Truman took advantage of my holiday deal. We met at the Liberty Memorial, which is on of my favorite areas to photograph in because of how diverse it is. There are trees right around it in case you want a more nature feel, the white stone that the memorial is made of gives a very clean, simple option and then, of course, the city skyline is off to the north. In fact, this is the most iconic view of Kansas City, the view that never gets old and keeps being refreshed as the community adds more buildings, structure and life to the skyline. It truly is a joy to live here! Now… if we could only add some mountains…….

I met Miranda about a year and a half ago at a coffee shop in Brookside, KCMO. I was looking for more opportunities to photograph weddings in the area and it turns out that she is a local wedding planner! I had reached out to a few wedding planners to try to network and make a few connections since I had only moved here about a year prior and didn’t know many people. Miranda was the only one who responded and I’m so glad she did! I ended up shooting this rustic wedding at the Cider Gallery in Lawrence, KS that she was the planner for and our paths have crossed a few times since. Fast forward to this session, I was so happy to meet her fiance, Chris and her new baby, Truman. They are such an adorable family!
