Valentine’s Day Mini Sessions in Kansas City & My Updated Family Photos

Valentine’s Day in Kansas City is just around the corner. Have you made your plans yet? If you have any desire to capture this special season with your loved one, count me in!! If you haven’t heard about my 2017 Valentine’s Day Mini Session offer – definitely let me know because I would hate for you to miss out on this low-fuss, low investment, minimal time-commitment deal that is running from this Saturday, February 11 through next Saturday.

As much as I encourage others to get updated family photos as often as possible, it’s sometimes hard to take my own advice. Because I get it. Photo sessions can be expensive and a big hassle to schedule. They can also be awkward if you don’t already have a trusted photographer that you know will help you be comfortable in front of the camera so you can be sure you’ll have a good time!

It’s tragic that most couples haven’t had professional photos taken together in YEARS. We grow and change together so much over the years and there is something incredibly special and important about purposefully stopping to capture and savor the current season while you are dreaming of the future. Then someday, when you fulfill those dreams, you can look back and say, ‘wow, remember when this was just a far fetched dream?’ and you have the beautiful images that remind you of the journey it took to get there hanging on your wall or popping up in your TimeHop. Because it really is all about the journey, isn’t it? So that’s where these mini sessions come into play! I don’t offer them very often, but every once in a while it’s fun to make 10 no-fuss images for you to cherish foreva and eva.

My 2017 Valentine's Day flowers from my husband! He got them for me over a week early because he says they mean more on a day when he isn't 'expected' to get me something :D We always take a little section of the big bouquet to put in my favorite yellow vase.

I finally took my own advice a couple months ago and my husband and I worked with my good friend Kelsey from Kelsey Ann Photography to get some photos together while we were in Colorado Springs on vacation. I have already so relished having these images that capture our love for each other and obsessions with craft coffee and our pup.  Our dog, Bentley is a Border Collie/Beagle mix who is now almost 3 years old! We got him from a shelter when he was about 9 months old and he has undoubtedly become part of the family.
