The great thing about growing up in Woodland Park, Colorado, even though I live in the Springs about 30 minutes away, is that I know the area like the back of my hand! Lots of people vacation there as it’s a great family getaway that’s close to much of the midwest, but not too remote. It’s so fun to be able to guide them to great locations for photos that feel quintessentially “Colorado” when they hire me while they’re in town!
I was so excited to get to photograph the Miller extended family while they were in town. I knew Kristi from Kansas City where I used to live and it’s amazing how many people come this way from there during their days off of work! Let’s just say it’s a treat to live in a vacation destination 🙂
For this session we started with a woodsy feel, got a bit of the classic red rocks in, and finished at sunset at one of my favorite mountain overlooks in the area.
