Little Piney Lodge Missouri Wedding | Jared & Annie

I went on a 12 hour road trip east of Colorado Springs to capture this sweet outdoor wedding ceremony and reception in Hermann, Missouri!! Like to many couples during this season, Jared & Annie had to postpone this celebration because of COVID-19, but thankfully they only had to wait less than a month longer than anticipated to say, “I do!”

We got lucky with a sunshine filled day and no rain in sight and it made my heart so happy to spend the whole day outside with these two and their amazing friends and family!

Jared & Annie were in the same friend group at Mizzou for three years before starting to date. Jared liked Annie from the very beginning and she finally decided to give him a chance (which was apparently the right decision considering their life together now!).

The Proposal Story (as told by Annie):

“Jared and I have spent a lot of time at a lake by his house. In the summers we go swimming there, and we both love to go fishing on his boat any chance we get. After we graduated, I stayed in Columbia and Jared got a job in Decatur, IL. I thought it seemed a little cold when he suggested that we go fishing when he came home the next weekend, but I figured he knew better than me. That day he picked me up once I got home from work, and we headed to the lake to fish. Once out on the water in his boat he popped the question!!”

Annie describes Jared as a hardworking, determined guy with an unwavering faith while Jared describes her as the most beautiful combination of compassion and faith with a splash of spice mixed in!

Their most common date night is to Chick-fil-A (they have each other’s orders memorized) and watching a movie or This is Us together afterwards. They both love to go fishing at a lake by Jared’s parents’ house, and when the weather is nice, they take his boat and sit out on the water competing to see who can catch the biggest fish.

Annie’s favorite thing about Jared is that he is devoted – to her, his friends, and his faith… he knows what he believes and how he feels, and nothing is going to change that. Jared’s favorite thing about Annie is her heart for others 💕

When they envisioned their wedding day, Jared & Annie hoped to have lots of fun surrounded by all of their family and friends. Since they share a lot of college friends, they greatly looked forward to having them all together at the same time. Since they both love the outdoors, they also looked forward to the outdoor ceremony and reception, dancing with friends under the stars!

I can tell you firsthand that their vision for their big day perfectly aligned with their hope for what it would entail due to careful preparation and rolling with the punches as they stayed flexible and positive with all the last minute changes! I’m so happy for these two and wish them nothing but the best for their incredible life together. CONGRATS, Annie & Jared!!
