A Peek Inside My Email Marketing Setup with Flodesk

As an busy, multi-six-figure entrepreneur with several businesses (plus a mom of two littles), it is so critical that I find ways to save time and brain power in every area possible. I have utilized Flodesk, my email marketing platform, to do just that for almost a decade now. I can say with full confidence that Flodesk is the best marketing software for creative entrepreneurs and I will always be their biggest cheerleader! Utilizing forms in Flodesk are a super simple way that I’m able to share about my email list with potential clients. My forms then align with my segments to stay organized and make sure I’m only sending people information that they *actually* want. My main forms that help me segment my audience include:

  • General – anyone interested in staying up to date and getting first dibs on upcoming opportunities
  • Brand Mini Session Interest – specific for small business owners interested in alerts for these
  • Family Mini Session Interest – specific for families interested in alerts for these
  • Location Specific – I have segments for the city I used to live in and the city where my in-laws live so whenever I travel to those areas I can alert my past clients and family friends with any photo session availability!

  • Giveaways
  • Waitlists for anything I have coming up!

2. Beautiful Email Templates

I won’t lie, I am not design-minded at all. The email templates that Flodesk provides not only save me so much time, but also help me keep my brand consistent and professional!

3. Workflows

This is where the real power of Flodesk starts to shine. Don’t let workflows intimidate you – it should excite you once you know just how easy it is to implement them in this email marketing platform! At bare minimum, a short welcome sequence that introduces new subscribers to your business and starts to grow a little know/like/trust factor can be so powerful to growing your business authentically!

After that, you can start to get more detailed with funnels that lead people through a dedicated series of emails ending with a call to action of booking you or purchasing one of your offers. Flodesk truly has all the features you could want, without being complicated or overwhelming!
