Each year my co-worker, Kaleena, puts on an event called Sleepless in the City to raise awareness for teen homelessness in Kansas City. Registration proceeds this year were donated to the Kansas City Homeless Shelter, along with donated winter accessories like hats and gloves. I greatly enjoyed the opportunity to volunteer some time alongside my Visit KC people.
