This week I was the luckiest person because I got to fly to the Lake Tahoe area to take photos of my sister’s elopement!! Long story short, her husband (EEK that’s the first time I’ve said that) is in the military and they dated long distance for their whole relationship (Chicago <–> NV). Once he proposed, her lease was ending soon, so rather than have to spend their whole engagement long distance too, they decided to go ahead and get married, have her move out, and then plan a full wedding celebration for next year sometime!

I know it was hard for our parents to not get to be there, but thankfully they totally understood that everyone’s journey looks different and that this is just what made the most sense for my sister! I’m SO ridiculously happy for Lindy and Brandon as they start their life together after several years of long distance and one long deployment… she is so happy to finally be with him and that’s all a girl can ask for for her sis <3

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the best part… which is that SHE DOESN’T EVEN HAVE TO CHANGE HER LAST NAME BECAUSE HE HAS THE SAME ONE!!! Roberts girl for life!
