Meet my sweet friend, Emily! We played volleyball together during high school in Colorado and have had the great pleasure of reconnecting as adults, particularly because of our shared love for photography. She lives in Denver now and specializes in wedding & lifestyle photography. Check out her beautiful website and work here 🙂 In fact, if you’ve seen the lifestyle session of my husband and I in Buena Vista, CO (the one with my pink floral dress), Emily is the one who took those for us!

She is also a little taller than me (I’m 6′), which we both decided is a perk that we never knew would be so beneficial for portrait photography. It’s so helpful since typically a slightly downward angle is much more flattering on most people than a slightly upward angle and we never have to worry about bringing a step stool or finding things to climb up on 😀

We got to spend some time together while I was in Colorado for a wedding last weekend and it was so refreshing to be able to talk so openly and authentically about our worlds because we understand each other so well. She is truly a gem of a person!
