Ryan & Jamie celebrated their union on a hot, June day in North Kansas City. The Courtyard at Briarcliff where they got ready was the perfect spot for their first look and bridal party photos in order to escape the 97 degree heat just outside the doors. Trezo Mare Restaurant’s patio space was the backdrop for their ceremony and reception and thankfully some shade was provided by the building next door.

This sweet couple and honestly their entire family and bridal party were all so good-natured and easy going, making for a really fun day! Instead of doing a traditional bouquet toss, Jamie had her bouquet split in two so she could present one to her mother and one to her new mother-in-law as a “thank you” for who they have been to Ryan and Jamie and for the wonderful ways in which they raised them. I thought that was so sweet!
