I am so grateful to be able to be this Kansas City family’s photographer. They are such kind, genuine people and it’s been a huge blessing to be able to capture their story over the past few years. You have probably seen me post about them before (scroll to the bottom to see all of their past sessions!), but for those of you who may not have… here is a little recap. Troy and Brittany found me on Groupon when I had just moved to Kansas City, during the only week I ever ran a deal on that platform. They were pregnant and wanted to plan a maternity session. Very sadly, they ended up losing the baby as part of a long journey with miscarriage. We did a couple’s shoot just for them instead, which was the first time I was able to meet them in person.

Fast forward to awhile later and Brittany reached out because she found out she was pregnant again! This time things went smoothly and I got to capture her pregnancy, as well as sweet River’s lifestyle newborn photos. Then last year I had the opportunity to shoot family photos for them when River turned one. Soon after that session Brittany emailed me to say that they found out they were pregnant again, this time with TWINS!! So I got to do her second round of maternity photos in a gorgeous venue downtown Kansas City called the Grand Hall at Power & Light for a little different feel. And, of course, now the twins’ lifestyle newborn session this past week!!

PHEW, I know that’s a lot, but I wanted to share just how special these little ones are. After a long history with miscarriage and desperately wanting to start their family together, Troy and Brittany now have THREE miracle kiddos and it makes my heart burst with joy! So happy for this wonderful family of five and I can’t wait to capture more special seasons in their life <3
