After a lot of crazy up and down weather, the trees are finally starting to bloom in Kansas City! I was so excited to get out and shoot at Loose Park this week with this lovely family and the temperature couldn’t have been more perfect. After battling cold and wind and rain for many sessions during the beginning of the year and having to reschedule or fight through it.. it was so refreshing to have this win 🙂
Kate is the co-owner and hair stylist at him.her.them Hair Studio just West of the Country Club Plaza. She started doing my hair when she worked at another salon and it’s been so fun to watch her transition to her dream of owning her own place (and p.s. it’s an adorable space). She told me her daughter, Bee, hasn’t wanted to take her suspenders off ever since the P!nk concert a month or so ago 🙂 Blake’s passion is sculpting/art… how fun it was to capture these images for two other creatives!! Oh, and it turns out that a Tuesday night is the perfect time to shoot at Loose Park because for once it wasn’t too overrun with people!

Brooke and her mom drove about an hour and a half from their small town to downtown Kansas City for her senior session! The whole day before and even that morning the forecast was calling for rain, but we decided to risk it and not change plans. I’m so glad we didn’t because it ended up being completely sunny all evening!
