One of my very favorite things about photography is seeing my work up on the walls of people’s homes.  It reminds me that there is a greater impact and reason for my work than solely supporting me and scratching my creative itch.  Even more encouraging than when people tell me they like my work, seeing a photo I’ve taken hung on a wall that’s walked by every day and showed off to people that visit their home speaks volumes and revitalizes me.  Those photos are used to tell the story of their lives…I’m always humbled and so very grateful to have played a small part in each of those stories!!

I photographed Trent and Natalie’s wedding a bit over a year ago in Woodland Park, Colorado and Natalie had such sweet things to say:

“Having these photos displayed in our home reminds us everyday of how special our wedding day was and how lucky we are to have each other. I just started my maternity leave and was actually just looking through the wedding album this morning – I can’t wait to describe our love story to our children through these amazing photos! I so enjoyed doing the Calva’s family photos two years in a row…it’s fun to see how kids change and grow!! They’re large prints look incredible on the mantle!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I hate to say favorite….but Mandy and Blake’s wedding was one of my very favorites;) It was probably the first wedding I was truly happy with my results…and it doesn’t hurt that they are good friends of mine as well! I love the arrangement of photos above their fireplace in their home 🙂
